Looks like they are taking a week off for Bleach, episode 109 will air on the 4th of January. That is not as bad as it could be, I remember when Inuyasha was still being produced that they would take a few weeks off this time every year.
Episode 108 didn't go as I had expected it, which is actually a good thing. This wasn't a bad episode at all, though it will be nice to see this filler arc finally come to an official conclusion.
One thing I need to gripe about though, Bleach is starting to pick up on Naruto's bad habits. After a fight scene or the like, the characters feel compelled to take a moment to tell us how clever they are by dissecting whatever just happened and explaining it to us in excessive detail. Granted, unlike Naruto, at least Bleach doesn't flashback to a few minutes earlier in the episode to give us instant replays of the event in question.
I watched this 24 episode series through about a week ago. I liked it, there is something special about a desert wondering, sword wielding girl, and her huge, well armed tank.
I hope they do more with these characters, while it didn't have an open ending, there were plenty of loose ends.

Today I watched through all 26 episodes of Oban Star-Racers. I have been aware of this series for some time, but I never gave it any credit. Yesterday while flipping channels I caught what turned out to be the first episode, it sparked my interest a bit so I decided to torrent the whole series overnight.
After watching it through I can say it was worth watching, great characters and story. I'm surprised it is a French made series. I really like the lead character, Eva/Molly, pictured above, they did a great job on her.

This is a great song, I need to find the full version of it.
A friend of mine convinced me to check this series out, as of this writing only the first two episodes have been fansubbed. To be honest it isn't the kind of series I would normally watch, and so far not something I'd try to recommend to anyone I know, but it is pretty amusing never the less.
It is a slice of life series that revolves around four high school girls and their oddball conversations that often lean towards Japanese pop culture such as anime, manga, video games, etc. It is pretty funny, it got a few good laughs out of me, and the opening song is one of those that get stuck in your head.

This is a live action movie based on a manga series. I guess you might call it a romantic comedy, though far more comedy than romance. The story revolves around a pair of classmates, Risa and Otani, who both suffer from height complexes. Risa is taller than the average girl while Otani is shorter than the average boy.
Their height makes things difficult in dealing with the opposite sex. Risa finds that guys don't much like to have girlfriends that are taller than them, while Otani discovers that girls find it silly to have a boyfriend shorter than they are.
The two, like a comedy duo, tend to tease each other about their height. They have lots in common, and often speak in sync without intention. Their friends and classmates think they would make the perfect couple, but they refute it at every step.
The movie follows the growth of the two's friendship until Risa realizes she does have feelings for Otani, and she must decide how to deal with it.
I think they did a great job of telling this story with the perfect amount of humor, and weirdness that is usually only seen in anime.
This movie is about a year old now, hard to find torrents or anything for it. I downloaded my copy off of usenet. However someone has posted it onto YouTube in multiple parts, starting here.
